Are you thinking about your next holiday or just want a good excuse to get away and relax for a few days? Well, have I got the place for you!

I've just got home from the most incredible and relaxing time in Fiji. The reason for our trip was actually to attend our beautiful friends Victoria Nunns & Sai Lomaloma's wedding, so I thought why not tag on a few extra days after the wedding and stay somewhere incredible.

I decided I really wanted to surprise my husband Ben by booking us somewhere that was super luxurious and private. He does so much for me & it's only been because of his support over the last 2 years that has allowed me to start my own businesses, so this was my chance to spoil him to say a big thank you!

I spent a lot of time looking at different islands and resorts around Fiji, trying to figure out what place was the best value for money & that would also offer the most wow factor. After many hours scrolling through Booking.com and reading reviews I decided Matamanoa Island Resort was the place for us.

Matamanoa Island Resort

It's a really small island and is adults only, plus I booked us a villa and we just happened to be put in the very end one on the other side of the island so it was super private, which we loved!

We spent 3 magical days here and loved every minute of it, I wish we had a few more, by the time we had relaxed it was time to leave again. It was so nice though to just chill out, read a book & do some snorkelling. Our villa had it's on dipping pool, an outdoor day bed, along with steps right down to the beach - like seriously, what more could you ask for!!

There was lots of activities we could go and do at no additional cost which was awesome. We had access to snorkeling gear, kayaks, little sailing boats and more. Also, the food was amazing and the full breakfast menu was included in our nightly rate! It was super fresh and delicious and they were able to cater to our vegan needs too!

Check out our snorkeling adventure! We saw a turtle and all sorts of other awesome ocean creatures!

If you are going from Denarau Port to Matamanoa the boat ride takes 60 to 90 mins, and I would HIGHLY recommend you plan your trial around the pre-set boat trip times for both going there and coming back. To do the transfers on our own schedule we got quoted FJD$1,900 return for the two of us (because of our flight times we couldn't make the pre-set times work, which I realised after I'd booked our flights)! Luckily we have some family friends who live in Nadi and have a fishing company so they kindly transported us to and from Matamanoa.

We had such an incredible time and would go back to Matamanoa Island Resort in a heart beat! We loved everything about it and would highly recommend it!
